19th C. Chinese Jian Short Sword with Scabbard. Forged steel double edged blade with diamond cross section. Carved wood ribbed handle with engraved brass cross guard and pommel. Wood scabbard with tortoise shell veneer and brass locket, medallions and chape. Overall sword length is 22.5 inches. Blades length is 17 inches.
