17th / 18th C. European Goosewing Axe. Wrought steel head with slightly curved 14 inch blade. Pentagonal through socket is forged to the blade asymmetrically with one side of the head being flat and is 8.5 inches wide. Mounted to oak shaft 39.5 inches long.
