17th c. Lucerne Hammer Polearm. Hand wrought steel head consists of a pronged hammer with downward curved spike, Long Spike on top and two small side spikes. Head is mounted to shaft by four flat steel plates inlaid into the hardwood shaft. Overall height 83.5 inches. Hammer head 1.25 x 1.25 inches and 9 inches wide with spike. Side spikes protrude 2 inches. Top spike 8.5 inches long. Overall height 83.5 inches. Hammer head 1.25 x 1.25 inches and 9 inches wide with spike. Side spikes protrude 2 inches. Top spike 8.5 inches long.
