19th c. Indo-Persian Leather Dhal Shield. Circular, red lacquered leather shield with four raised bosses, tooled central medallion and border, and horsehair mane decoration. The interior has four eyelet strap mounts and a gilt painted border. 24.25 inches diameter, 3 inches height.
